Delete your account

Updated:

You can delete your Saha account at any time. Deleting it cannot be undone.

How to delete it

In the web app: sign in at saha.sayfa.app, click your name at the bottom left and choose Profile → Delete account. Type your e-mail address to confirm. If you have not joined an organization yet, use the Delete account link below the organization list.

In the iPhone and Android app: choose Account → Delete account and confirm.

Your account is deleted right away and you are signed out on every device.

If you cannot sign in: send an e-mail with the subject “Delete account” from your account’s e-mail address to saha@sayfa.app. We send a confirmation e-mail to the same address to make sure the request really comes from you. After you confirm, we delete your account within 30 days at the latest, usually much sooner, and let you know by e-mail.

First: if you are an organization’s last administrator

If you are the only administrator of an organization that has other members, your account cannot be deleted, because the organization would be left without an administrator. First give another member the administrator role under Settings → Users.

What is deleted

  • Your account details: your name, e-mail address, language and the hash of your password,
  • all your sessions (you are signed out on every device) and any e-mail verification or password reset links,
  • the mobile apps’ push tokens,
  • all your organization memberships.

What happens to organizations’ records

Work orders, requests, notes, photos, measurements and other records you created or worked on in an organization belong to that organization and are not deleted with your account. An employee record the organization created for you is also the organization’s record. You can ask the organization to delete or correct your data in those records. The organization’s audit log records that your account was deleted.

What remains, and for how long

Data Retention
Copies in database backups At most 30 days, then deleted automatically
Security records of sign-in attempts (e-mail address, IP address, time) Unlinked from the account; say so in your request if you want them deleted
E-mails about the deletion request Kept to show the request was fulfilled

Data on your phone

The mobile app keeps assigned work on the phone so it can work offline. To remove it, uninstall the app.
